Why Cloth & Hearth?
The name combines two ideas.
Cloth represents softness, texture, layers, and the objects people physically live with.
Hearth represents the center of a home—not necessarily a literal fireplace, but the feeling of a space being lived in.
Together, they describe the kind of store we want to build:
useful objects with warmth and character.
We Care About Scale
Online, nearly every product gets displayed inside the same rectangular screen.
Real homes do not work like that.
A 10-inch object and a 30-inch object can appear almost identical in product photography.
That is why measurements matter.
We encourage customers to measure first and imagine second.
Materials Have Personalities
Wood changes from piece to piece.
Fabric looks different under warm and cool lighting.
Metal changes depending on finish.
Glass interacts with the room behind it.
Ceramic can contain small production variations.
We see those details as part of the physical character of home products.
